Trust and Credentials
I hold a Private Security Business Licence, and I'm fully accredited through the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia (MLAA). I'm happy to show my credentials when I arrive at your door.
Look for three things: a current security licence, MLAA accreditation, and upfront pricing. If a locksmith won't give you a quote before starting work or can't show credentials, that's a red flag. I always provide all three.
Yes. I'm fully insured, licensed, and accredited, so you're completely protected from start to finish.
I completely understand. As a licensed security professional, your safety is literally my business. I operate under strict industry standards and treat every job with complete confidentiality.
Pricing
I give you an upfront quote before any work begins, no hidden fees, no surprises. You approve the price first, every time.
I'm transparent about all costs upfront. When you call, I'll walk you through exactly what you'll pay before I head out, so there are never any unexpected charges.
Services
Absolutely. You have no way of knowing how many copies of the keys are out there, previous owners, old tenants, tradies, or real estate agents. Rekeying or replacing your locks is one of the first things I recommend after moving in.
Rekeying changes the internal pins so old keys stop working, without replacing the entire lock. It's faster and more affordable. Full replacement is better when your locks are old, damaged, or don't meet current security standards. I'll assess your situation and recommend the right option.
I strongly recommend it. A standard door handle lock is surprisingly easy to bypass. A properly installed deadbolt is one of the most effective deterrents against break-ins, and more than 55% of Australian homes already have them.
You can, but a lock is only as good as how it's installed. Poorly fitted locks give a false sense of security. I make sure everything is installed correctly and actually does the job of protecting your home.
Call the police first, then call me. I offer post-break-in repairs and can secure damaged doors, frames, and locks quickly, so your home isn't left exposed any longer than it has to be.
They can be, depending on your situation. Smart locks offer convenience and keyless access, but they're not always the right fit for every home. I can walk you through the pros and cons and help you make the right decision without the overwhelm.
